Welcome to Draw “n” Play Art School. I offer year-round fine art and craft classes for children and grown-ups. As an art teacher, I believe children are natural artists. Grown-up children’s creativity is essential to their overall development of growth, and my goal is to teach them the tools and techniques to help them achieve their dreams. In addition, I help build their creativity skills and confidence.
I offer creative art classes for children, teens and adults. Classes are held once in a week. My small class sizes, individualized instruction, and flexible art curriculum allows students to join classes at any time. Classes are grouped by basic skills at the starting point. From then onwards, students will be taught based on their interest and adaptation of skills.
Values
Do you believe that we are part of the nature? Our sources of imaginations are inspirations from nature. My design philosophy is simple: form should always facilitate function. I believe that simple is elegant, beautiful and easily accessible by the largest number of people possible. I believe that simplicity highlights what you have to say, and that it makes its own strong statement: "We stand behind our message, and we want to present it clearly." As an art teacher, I believe children are natural artists. Grown-up children’s creativity is essential to their overall development of growth and my goal is to teach them the tools and techniques to help them achieve their dreams. Concept, imagination, implementation are vital aspects to create an art-piece.
Drawing in my class is fun! Young children learn to draw very quickly as well as find it amusing. My lesson plan is very simple and interesting and includes revolving around drawing objects using basic shapes, numbers and alphabets. Every single form or shape is interpreted from nature. Form will in turn develop in the child's mind a good sense of composition, better visualization of colour, and a basic sense of proportion. To conscience and develop these aspects is important to start at a younger age and this is why children can begin my classes as early as four years of age.
I provide small intimate classes, which are customized to meet the individual needs of children and adults at various levels. Classes are scheduled during the weekends. Each class is designed to promote self-expression and to introduce to the student a variety of techniques and materials.
I attended an Art College and completed my studies in this field in 1992. I have also participated in various workshops and exhibitions. Currently, I am working as a web and graphic designer in a marketing company in Toronto. My art is mainly inspired from nature and I enjoy painting landscape, still life, or capture life by raped sketch.
